In October 2009, it reopened as the Los Angeles County Marriott Pasadena in a new, more modern and contemporary design.
The Lanai Building was built in 1967 next to the swimming pool, and the Sheraton was the home of much of the hotel's interior design. Huntington, Sheraton and Lan Kai Cottages remain operational in the Huntington Sheratanas, while the six-story main building stands empty.
