In 1998, three college friends started The Sofa Company to finally make the processing of purchasing a sofa fun, fast and simple. Along with the motto "you design it, we build it" came the promise to continue to innovate the selections available and make the process of buying a sofa enjoyable for residents throughout Los Angeles. With showrooms in Pasadena and Santa Monica, and a factory clearance center in Commerce, we now can say quite confidently that we have the largest selection of styles, sizes, fabrics, legs, sofabeds in the city.
1-2-3 Process--In our new, easy 1-2-3 process, you first style it, then cover it and then accessorize it. All made in California.
As you see throughout our site, we are quite proud of the fact that we produce our sofa line in the good ole USA and more specifically, Los Angeles, CA.

My first criteria for a sofa was it had to be comfortable! For my wife it was the design. That meant we've been hunting for"the sofa" for a long time.
When a friend heard about our search, she told us about her experience buying a sofa at..... The
Sofa Company! It was customized and she was happy with the results. " Go and look, " she said.
So we did, and our search ended. There was a problem finding the right fabric, but Jeannie was very patient and help us in making our decision.
Delivery is still ahead and we're looking forward to a happy ending.
Pros: Lots of selection
Cons: Fabric was out of stock so a longer wait.

The staff at the Sofa Company is wonderful. Jeannie helped sift through the many swatches of fabric for us. She listened to what we needed and gave us the books based on our price range, color preference, and fabric needs.
I would totally recommend working with her.
The sofa is a quality, made in LA product. Delivery time was very long. If i had to do it over again, I would get something that was already made since we could not buy anything else for the living room until we saw what the sofa really looked like. It would be better if they had some software that could show what the final product would look like in a specified living room.
I might have chosen something else if such a software was available. We still like our sofas but we underestimated the space. Also, you can't cancel the order since it is customized.
With that said, if you know what you want or need a little guidance, I recommend you go to Jeannie at the Sofa Company. She deserves 5 stars!!! =)

Happily, our history includes buying more than one sofa. Of all our experiences, we believe our recent experience at the Sofa Factory was the best. A very friendly and helpful staff person guided us through the selection process without any pressure.
Once you’ve decided on a design, staff’s expertise is a great help in selecting from a huge inventory of fabric types, textures and colors.
